Eco Marine is excited to welcome Rosemary Jevons who has joined Eco Marine Consultants as an intern this summer. Rosemary is taking a placement year to gain experience in the industry after completing the second year of her BSc Marine Biology degree at the University of Plymouth. As part of her time at the University of Plymouth she has gained valuable knowledge of the marine environment as well as some experience in intertidal and subtidal fieldwork. Additionally, Rosemary is also a keen member of the Marine Biology Society, having stood in the role of Vice Chair this last year. Outside of her studies, Rosemary enjoys exploring the UK coastline, surfing, rock-pooling, and snorkelling. She is also both a qualified beach lifeguard and open water diver.
Rosemary will be assisting Eco Marine in survey and consultancy work over the coming summer months and will gain valuable experience while improving her fieldwork, reporting, and marine species identification skills.
