Following a small break from our usual survey season due to the impacts of COVID-19, the Eco Marine team has resumed a busy summer of environmental surveys. We have taken extra measures to ensure that our staff and contractors are safe and protected while undertaking important survey, office, and lab-based work. Such measures include the provision of extra PPE (including face masks), the restriction of staff within certain working spaces and on vessels, and the use of larger vehicles to enable social distancing while travelling. All our staff are being encouraged to work from home when undertaking office-based activities where possible. Additionally, we have put together a carefully considered series of risk assessments to analyse and reduce any risks associated with COVID-19.
We are incredibly happy to be undertaking field work once more and greatly look forward to continuing with the many exciting projects we have coming up in the months ahead.
