This summer, our staff renewed their STCW 95 Personal Survival Techniques (sea survival) course to ensure that our field team are up to date with the latest prevention and survival at sea techniques. The course covered subjects from emergency first aid, to fire and crisis prevention and practical survival techniques in the water. As well as being a course jam packed with knowledge and theory, practical tasks were also undertaken in an incredible quarry setting in South Gloucestershire. It is safe to say the team were very grateful to be completing the course in the middle of the summer rather than the winter!
As well as being busy updating their STCW 95 training, our two senior team members David and Ellie have recently completed an advanced COSHH awareness course. Health and safety in the workplace and the field are of paramount importance at Eco Marine, and as such, we aim to ensure that our staff are armed with the best industry practices possible to minimise all risks and promote safe practice.
