Our team have been working hard on a fascinating project in west Wales this autumn. Eco Marine was commissioned to conduct a subtidal remotely operated vehicle (ROV) video survey in Cardigan Bay/Ceredigion Bay in support of an EIA to be undertaken for the installation of a new breakwater and additional coastal defences.
Our field team visited the coastal site in perfect weather conditions and completed the ROV survey alongside Carcinus Ltd. Since the successful completion of the ecological survey, our team have been busy processing the fascinating footage and images collected using the ROV from the area of interest to determine the broadscale habitat types and communities present. All of our findings have been presented in a technical report describing the epibenthic communities and habitat distributions within the survey area.
