Eco Marine are currently preparing for a busy fieldwork season following the award of the Thames Estuary Regional Seabed Monitoring Programme (RSMP) by the Thames Estuary Dredging Association on behalf of the marine aggregate companies operating in UK waters. This follows on from our successful completion of the 2022 South Coast RSMP survey.
The primary objective is to gather information which can be used to assess changes in seabed condition against the baseline conditions and to inform consideration of the potential for recovery of the region post-dredging. The principle works will employ a mini Hamon grab, in-line with the RSMP survey protocols, to collect samples for subsequent sediment particle size analysis (PSA) and faunal analysis.
